water problem

Respected Sir, I am very much happy to know that Our honorable minister has hosted an official website. We, people of tamilnadu is really very much hopeful that more than our kalignar , Dr.Stalin would do wonderful achievements in rendering his service to the people of tamilnadu irrespective of the religion,caste and richness. The forward thinking, the willingness to work for the people, the great experience from the great father -these are the mantras for you to achieve great things. I thank god for having given us such a leader. Only because of Dr.Kalignar and you, the other part of India as well as the other nations are having watchful eye over tamilnadu on its growth. I have to tell a lot.But, sorry sir, i may be wasting your valuable time. I have a question on the municipal administration. Sir, i belong to erode corporation. I have purchased an unapporved land (which i did not know when i bought it)near the bus stand. I have a road with only 15ft. So, as per the rule ,municipality didn't lay concrete road.Since my house is located with a distance of 300ft from the main water pipe line , i was denied with the water supply which all my neighbors are given.I regularly pay the house tax bearing the tax no.42024 with the name C.DHANAPAL & A.KAVIDHA and address 80/5,chinnamuthu main street,near prabha theare, Erode-638011.I came to know that the water supply ACT prepared in the year 1960 is still being used.I really wonder!!. The ACT has been followed for the past 48 year without any modification, though the city keep on expanding. If it is followed like this, many people won't be able to get the benefits from the municipality or the corporation. I request the honourable minister to go through the ACT of Water Supply followed by the Erode Corporation and take necessary action against this.Thankyou very much sir. -A.KAVIDHA,erode

shifting of slaughter house on Dr. Ambedkar Raod.

The slaughter house between Pattalam and Vyasarpadi on Dr. Ambedkar Raod is in crumbling and waste disposal is not proper. This can be shifted to some where beyond Manali to Villivakam Slaughter(which can be made into a central slaughter house). The land can be utilised to construct the slum housing tenements for relocating the dwellers along the cooum river in Chintadripet, the current dwellers living in the dangerous buildings along Dr. Ambedkar Road, and the slum Behind Satchidhanandham Street and behind the pumping station on Perumbur Barracks Road. This is feasible but it requires political will. Can you please look into this suggestion. Also, badly required is the construction of the Road Over Bridge on this Road in lieu of the current Road Under Bridge near the Vyasarpadi Jeeva Station. Ilango

Dear Thiru Stalin, Currently the road to IOC from Basin Bridge is closed for constructing a Road Over Bridge. Consequently, the Buses via that road to IOC is rerouted through Mint and Tondiarpet. Buses passing through Doveton and Choolai can either be rerouted through Perumbur Barracks Road, Vysarpadi, MKB Nagar, Kannadhasan Nagar, or through Basin Bridge, Burma Colony, to reach IOC instead of the circuitous Mint, Tondiarpet route. I am sure this is feasible and can be implemented immediately. Your early action please. Ilango

town buses in vellore

sir, the town buses plying along routes no 1 and 2 in vellore town are so unbelievably crowded - it is difficult to say if one will reach their destination safely.also the conductors (both govt and pvt) sometimes do not hand us the tickets after collecting money.kindly take steps to make more routes so as to decongest these two routes.

reg shifting of eb pillar box.

Sir, Iam constructing a small clinic at 80/34 S.R.P Koil street TVK Nagar ch-82. There is an EB pillar box (2) obstructing the pathway to my clinic entrance. As most of the patients are old and will be having difficulty to acess my clinc entrance I requested the EB authourities to shift the pillar boxes by 6 to 7 feet and made payment of RS 25919 on 2-5-2008 at periyar nagar eb substation.but until now the pillar box has not been shifted.My repeated request to A.D Mr Manivannan (9840901322) and A.E Mr vardarajan (9840901325) has not yielded any result. eb bill no is 0651287 dated 2-5-2008 47601-D.C.W . I therefore request you sir to take necessary action to shift the eb pillar box

Request for shifting of potters kiln in kosapet, Chennai

Dear Shri Stalin, I have been watching your performance and growth critically. Yet you stand out, but I want you grow into a statesman not politician.Kudos and keep grown. As a Mayor of Chennai,you were able to curb the roaming of animals(cows), shifted all the milkmen to the suburbs of the city. But there is a village within the city. Yes, Kosapet, in Egmore constituency. As the name of the place suggests, it in inhabited by a 100 families in that locality. Though they form a microscopic community, but very cohesive community. They make their living by making clay dolls mostly. They need to be resettled for reasons stated below: Chennai is already reeling with pollution. Like little drops of water making a ocean they contribute their might to the already polluted air of Chennai.In HOT SUMMER they fire the open kiln at the junction of Satchidhanandham Street and Venkatesa Bathan Street using wood, Cow dung, hay daily and sometimes plastic/gunny rubbish. The smoke that emanates from the open kiln suffocates the residents on the street. The heat that the kiln generates increases the already hot temperature in the immediate vicinity. My three children develop respiratory problems when they fire the kiln. I have already spent Rs.70 thousand to operate repeated both my ears because of repeated allergic problems in my throat in the past 2 years. Now the appeal, will it be possible for you to shift them outside the city and ban firing of open kiln in the city to improve the quality of air.The other problem is they buy raw clay and heap it on the road side sometimes 6 feet high and empty spaces.The empty space near the 5 lights of Satchidhanandham Street stands testimony to this statement. During the rains they dissolve and blog the drains and make the roads slippery. Repeated representations to the Councillors have gone waste. The Assistant Engineer of the Corporation is failing to initiate action. Could you depute the Pollution control Board to undertake Environ Impact Assessment due to the practice of firing Open kiln to generate the evidence of pollution and have them shifted. Kindly note, the potter people are are living in huts in the slum behind satchidhanandham street or rented houses in Kandasamy Koil street claiming to be poor but it is not so. They all own lands in their villages and live in huts here. The practice of firing open kiln in Chennai can be banned, alternatively they can buy fired clay dolls, paint here and sell.Already some of them are doing so. But some of them are arrogant and instigate other not to adopt the same. Could you bring about the change to this microscopic local problem in Chennai. An early response will be much appreciated. A BURNING ISSUE AGAIN: The Kodungaiyur dumping ground is posing problems once again for the residents of the nearby colonies

Residents of colonies near the Kodungaiyur garbage dumping ground in north Chennai have once again been waking up to smog-filled mornings. The burning of garbage in the bigger of the two dumping yards of Chennai Corporation has returned to its worst in the last two weeks. Resident are affected with smog had engulfed the colonies over the last fortnight, causing eye and throat irritation. "The situation was horrible this weekend when we could not even open the windows. This has made the summer worse for us,". The worst affected areas include Ezhil Nagar, Kannadasan Nagar, Krishna Murthy Nagar and Susila Nagar colonies situated on the fringe of the dumping grounds. Proposal - Farmer's Welfare

Respected Thambi, White revolution has been a great success mainly because the farmer was allowed to concentrate on increasing the milk production while the cooperative society took the responsibility of marketing his produce. Similarly, if the farmer is given an opportunity to grow the crop that best suits his land,coupled with the assurance of a justifiable returns with a little assistance from the Government, instead of taking a market driven decision of cultivating a crop that appears to fetch a better price momentarily,productivity will increase and thereby his returns. Opening of park pending

Dear Sir, I am a resident of Chromepet ,NGO colony I street,Chennai -600044.A new park is ready for the past 6 months.But still park is not opened to public.This summer also has gone.If the park is not opened ,what is the use sir by keeping it closed.Our children are eagerly waiting .Please open immediately Thanks Madhavan

Solid Waste Management

Subject: SWM- TamilNadu as a whole Sir, The solid waste management in Tamil Nadu is a real challenge to the local admn. Clean Thamizhagam Healthy Thamilzhagam & Green Thamizhagam can be achieved only when SWM is geared to 100% effectively and efficiently. 1) For this all Corporations ( to start with) & then all Municipalities) must have a separate dedicated SWM cell ( to implement SWM only .) and reporting to the central unit 2) It must be under the direct control of a new ?Central SWM cell / board? ? with a separate IAS to follow up the quality and efficiency ? the dept being accountable to the HOD of MAWS ) . Each corporation / municipality (with a separate team of man power) will devise its own public-friendly operations of SWM suited to its territory depending on its need. (like NGO involvement ? privatization, ?one family- one tree? plans , citizen committees motivation programmes , ?, Energy from waste, Bio-Medical Waste management etc.) 3)..World Bank loan utilization for state projects could be utilized for the entire state when the SWM cell is state-wide a single unit Modus operandi & More can be planned if only this concept is acceptable to the administration Regards A.S.
