நாட்டின் தொழில் வளர்சியில் special economic zone போன்றவைகளில் காட்டபடும் அதீத கவணம் ,இயற்கை சார்ந்த விவசாயம் மற்றும் சுற்றுபுற சூழலில் காட்டபடாதது மிகவும் வேதனையான விசயம். வீட்டுக்கு வீடு மரம் வளர்போம் என்பன போன்ற விளம்பரங்கள் மட்டும் சுற்று சூழல் புரட்சியை உருவாக்கும் என்பது நடைமுறை சாத்தியம் இல்லை. சுற்று சூழல் பாதுகாப்பின் அவசியம் என்பது நாம் உயிர் வாழும் காரணிகளில் ஒன்றாக கருதுவோமேயானால் அதை கடுமையான சட்டங்கள் கொண்டாவது நிறைவேற்ற வேண்டும். எடுத்து காட்டாக, 1) பள்ளி மற்றும் கல்வியகங்களில் அதிக மரம் நடுவோருக்கும், மரங்களை பாதுகாக்கும் மாணவர்களுக்கும் அதன் அடிப்படையில் மதிப்பெண் அளிப்பது. 2) அதிகமான மரங்கள் வளர்த்து அதனை பேனி காக்கும் தனியார் அமைப்புகளுக்கும், வருமான வரி கட்டுவோருக்கும் ஒரு குறிபிட்ட சதம் வருமான விலக்கு அளிக்கலாம், 3) அழகிய பூங்காக்கள், காடு வளர்ப்பில் கவணம் செலுத்தும் பொதுமக்களுக்கு கவுரவ பதவிகளோ அல்லது அரசு முன்னுரிமைகள் கொடுக்க படலாம். 4) நிருவணங்களுக்கு முன்னால் உள்ள தனியார் ,பொது இடங்களை அழகு படுத்து வோருக்கு வரி சலுகைகள் உட்பட பல சலுகைகள் அளிக்கலாம், 5) குப்பைகள்,கழிவுகளை ஒழுங்காக பராமரிக்காத ஊர்களில் உள்ள பஞ்சாயத்து, ஊராட்சிய தலைவர்களுக்கு ஒழுங்கு ந்டவடிக்கை எடுக்கலாம், நல்ல முறையில் செயல்படுத்தும் ஊர்களுக்கு ஊக்கபடுத்தலாம். 6) ரியல் எஸ்டேட் மற்றும் விளை நிலங்களை விற்பதில் சட்டதிருத்தமும் உச்ச வரம்புகளும் அமைக்க வேண்டும். 7) விவசாயம் செய்ய முடியாமல் வருமையாள் வாடும் விவசாயிகளின் நிலங்களை அரசே எடுத்து வேளான்மை கல்லூரிகளின் துனையோடு விவசாயம் செய்து லாபத்தில் நல்ல தொரு பங்கினை கொடுப்பதன் மூலம் ,விவசாயத்தொழிலை ஊக்கப்படுத்தலாம். 7)சுற்று சூழல்,விலை நிலங்கள் ,கட்டுகள் மற்றும் மக்கள் உடைமைகளுக்கு தீங்கு விளைவிக்கும் எவரையும் கடுமையான சட்டங்கள் கொண்டு தடுக்க வேண்டும். பெரும் வல்லுனர்கள் மூலமாக இத்திட்டங்களை ஆய்வு செய்து சுற்று சூழலுக்கும், காடுகளுக்கும்,விவசாயத்திற்கும் ஏற்ற ஒரு நல்ல முன் மாதிரி அரசாங்கமாக உங்களின் ஆட்சி மாறவேண்டும்

Vision and mission

Dear Sir, You are a visionary; you have long term plans for the development of our Tamil Nadu state and your government has been implementing various projects to develop our state. Many thanks! I studied forestry science in the university; I worked in this field for few years in Tamil Nadu. When I came to know about Self Help Groups, an innovative initiative by the DMK government which leads to development and empowerment of women, their families and communities, I showed interest to learn more about it. I worked with women SHGs in Tamil Nadu for about 6 years. Since from 2002, I have been working mainly for a German organisation in Africa and promoting this unique approach in nine countries. (Women SHGs and children groups) Child labour has been stopped in many communities with the SHGs support. In Kenya, SHG women are aware about the new constitution, In Rwanda; SHG women talk about the vision of their president! Self help approach has brought many positive changes in Africa and transformed the lives of poor people. Dear Sir, in the past, I spent most of my time in Africa but in future I would like to work in Tamil Nadu state and also I am interested to propagate your vision and mission, government schemes, plans and achievements in rural areas especially with SHGs. Save people from Water pollution

Sir, i am the union councillor of DMK in Gnalam and arumanallur panchayat, Kanyakumari district and thovalai union. I am requesting you to form a filtering plant in Gnalam uniform water supply system. Nearby gnalam, arumanullar and azhiapandiapuram town panchayat, there were approximately 50,000 people living and utilizing this water supply from Gnalam water supply system formed by Tamil water supply department. But the water supplies is polluted due to natural and artifical facts, So kindly arrange a water filtering plant in Gnalam water supply system through Tamilnadu water supply department. Please consider this request as on behalf of more than 50,000 lives.

Dear sir, There is a TASMAC shop in mannar street ,opposite to tnagar bus stand .There is no bar facilities for the shop past one year .customer use to drink in open street and platform. Eatables and water packets are sold in the street s. It creates disturbance to the public .In Night time no one could enter in that street. I request you to transfer the above TasMac shop to some other place with bar facilities.

Ban the Pan

Regularization of my service and non-receipt of my salary

Dear Thalapathy, This is to bring to your kind notice the Regularization of my service and non-receipt of my salary since April 2008 to March 2009. I was appointed as a Junior Research Fellow at Tamilnadu Forest Department, Industrial Wood Research Division, Mukkumbu, Trichy. My salary has been pending since April 2008 to March 2009 this is the 15th month going on, As we all have families being the eldest son I have so many responsibilities on my shoulders. I request you to kindly look into the same and facilitate early release of my dues as one payment and Regularization of my JRF service and issue appointment order. The yarn price increase in Tirupur is most welcomable one. Clever people are saying that yarn price will surely help the export market which now is in the hands of importers will come in to the hands of exporters. After quota system was taken the export market has gone in to the hands of importers and buying agents. Exporters cannot able to negotiate for fair prices. Huge yarn price hike will somewhat help the exporters to get some more fair prices. Tirupur exporters are destroying the tirupur economy by taking orders for loss prices.

Reg. Bribery to VAO's

Dear Deputy Chief Minister, I aware that you were doing many good things to People of Tamilnadu. I want to bring attention of one common problem which public facing day to day life in Taluk/VAO Offices. Now a days VAO�s in Trichy & Mannachanallur Taluk are developed to the extent they are threatening the public for HUGE BRIBE who asks for patta name transfer even though all eligible documents are produced in a right fashion. We common public were affected severely with respect to this. Government is taking lot of measures for protecting them, even though the VAO�s are not willing to change. SUGGESTIONS IN TOWN PLANNING DEPARTMENT

Hon'ble sir, Institute of Town Planners, India (ITPI) is the apex professional body of qualified Town and Country Planners established in 1951, committed to foster town and country planning profession for the orderly developments of town, cities and rural areas India. Tamil Nadu Regional Chapter (ITPI- TNRC) with over 260 members has been working to promote quality Town Planning practices in Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu has over 90 years of history originated with Town Planning Act 1920 and subsequently, the Director of Town Planning was appointed in 1921, first time in the Country. Presently, Tamil Nadu is a highly urbanised State in the Country with 44% urban population, out of which 16% live in Chennai Metropolitan Area and generate 26% of State�s revenue. A population estimate for 2026 indicates that Tamil Nadu will be highly urbanized with 74% of urban population which would be 10% of the Country�s population. ITPI-TNRC appreciating the TN�s Government�s initiatives in over all development of the state, particularly implementation of infrastructure development projects and the efforts being taken to bring as a pioneering State in the Country. The State is spending several thousands of crores of rupees, under the able guidance of Hon�ble Chief Minister & Deputy Chief Minister. However, there is a shortage of qualified Town Planners in town planning departments, which causes impediment and unable to match the goals and strategies of the government; partricularly in implementing the Urban Infrastructure Development projects to attain the required global quality, standards and within timeframe to attract the global market investors for economic generations and employment and to have better quality of life of our people in urban and rural areas. To transform the visions and missions of the governments and the principles laid in accordance with Ministry of Urban Development, National Building Code 2005 and ITPI guidelines; and being practiced in various Departments and Institutions in Tamil Nadu and in 30 States/UTs, the Heads of Depts. of DTCP/CMDA and the critical role of Planners in the institutions like TNUFSIL CMA, Rural Development, District Planning Committees etc. to be made on a priority basis. In this regard, we understand that the Government has taken initiatives to full fill our demand. Meanwhile, representations have also been made to Hon�ble Justice S. Mohan Committee (which is appointed by the TN Government to review the TN T&CP Act 1971 and recommend for amendment) for making necessary amendments in the inclusion of the following provisions: 1. Appointing the Town Planner as HOD i.e., Director of Town and Country Planning Department / CMDA as being headed by the experts in PWD, medical, agriculture, education Departments in the State, and as in the case of 30 States / UTs in India and appointment of qualified Town Planners in ULBs, 2. Employing of only Qualified Town Planner as an Officer at entry level 3. Allowing Qualified Town Planner to practice as Licensed Town Planner. 4. ITPI-TNRC shall be involved / represented in all committees, consultations, decision-making process pertaining to town planning by sharing/advising their collective expertise in the development of the State. 5. Constitution of Development Authorities for all the Corporations in Tamil Nadu such as: Coimbatore, Madurai, Tiruchy and Salem etc. Moreover, an estimate indicates that Tamil Nadu requires about 600 town planners in 2010 to meet the demand of both government and private sectors at one town planner for every 1,00,000 population (whereas, in Canada and United States for every 5,000 population has got one planner). To match, CMDA would need about 100 Planners, but it has employed only 40 qualified Town Planners, whereas, rest of the entire State has got only nine (9) qualified Town Planners against the requirement of about 500. In fact, Tamil Nadu is the largest urbanized State at present, to strengthen the State Government�s development initiatives, ITPI have been looking forward to give helping hands with the State Government under the leadership of Hon�ble Chief Minister & Deputy Chief Minister to take timely action for achieving the best results and the fruit of benefits to reach every citizen of the State. Road Widening between St.Thomas Mount station and Medavakkam Junction

Respect Sir, Hats off to the work done by Government under your stewardship. A small comment from one of your fan/taxpayer is as follows: I hear of the road widening project between St.Thomas Mount station and Medavakkam Junction ever since i finished my school.and now i am 10 years older to hear the same message again. One good sign is that many parts of road are dug up and asphalting is on the way..... With monsoons set in..these roads may vanish or clogged with water any time... So Please help finishing the project ASAP. If u don't believe me, please make a surprise visit.. Once again Wish a wonderful term as our leader,the Deputy CM. Jai Hind! Thanks
