The Most Revered and Beloved Deputy CM, On 30th Jan a political meeting held across a street amidst housing area. The loud speaker blew up to eleven pm. This is the time when revision tests are being conducted in schools. The students suffer a lot to study to prepare for the exams. The students are working very hard for the ensuing 10th and 12th public exams. Such din in the housing areas will certainly disturb them. Hence I humbly request that such programmes, meetings with huge loud speakers may please be permitted in the open ground sides, auditoriums, and halls and not in the housing areas. This will be an immense help to the students. The state expects such useful revolutionary actions from your goodself Sir. Thank you, Sir.

Dear Sir, The Municipal corporation of PUNE -PMC, has banned the use of Plastic bags in the shops- and there is general- widespread compliance from the shops as well as the shoppers. the city wears cleaner look - also this reduces the load on the PMC. This is worth emulating in chennai and all other parts of Tamil NAdu; With Your personnel instructions and intervention , chennai too can be made to look better - by avoiding Plastic bags . In pune even in petty shops-leave alone major malls - plastic bag is not used.Public has awareness and lends a helping hand to the PMC. Hope this is hightime for TN in general and Chennai in particular to follow such good examples. Hope you would look into this suggestion . thanks kathiravan

The Pune Municipal corporation has completely banned the use of Plastic Bags; No shop - whether a petty shop or any big shopping mall - is handing over their sales thro the Plastic Bags. Consumers are encouraged to bring their own Jute bags; This results in general cleanliness of the town; reduces the load onthe civic workers- and is useful to the society also. We , in Tamil Nadu should also follow this example. Your jpersonnel intervention and instructions , will definitlely fetch avery good impact and yield results . I am sure that the Public of Chennai and TN would definitely lend you good support in this great cause.

Respected Sir, I am here in chennai after 5 years in Bangalore. I am happy to see a lot of changes in the city. But still the city faces some issues which I am bringing for your kind consideration. Here are the 5 issues: 1) I have been in Bangalore and Mumbai, auto fares are extremely reasonable. The minimum fare for the first 1.5 Kms is around Rs.15 whereas here they never use the meter instead we certainly face the hardship in dealing with them which is even more difficult for newcomers to the city. 2) Again comparing with other metros, wall poster nuisance is still prevailing in large scale despite some steps by the government. 3) Street dogs are posing a great danger especially to children and to people roaming late night and straying cows within the metro limit disturbs the traffic and the cow dung makes the road unclean. 4) Using public places for urinating is an unending issue since very few toilets are built which are also not maintained making it unusable whereas in Bangalore, the admin constructs and maintains the toilets almost all throughout the city in the name of "Nirmala Bangalore" which are highly hygenic. 5) Unnecessary speed breakers within short distances are a nightmare for the motorists and are posing danger to the drivers riding at night since the presence of a speed breaker is not highlighted. Sir, I hope these are not only my concerns whereas everyone's inner heart wants you to address these issues and fulfill our concerns. Thank you.

Dear Respected DCM, Congratulations for an excellently promising and modern approach. We have great respect for you for all the hardships you have gone through in your political life. I see some small children are either begging and carried for sympathy by their mothers while begging. wheatever may be the situation the children of our Country should never beg for anything anywhere. I request your immediate attention to this issue. Pl see that children are not put to hardships and if children are begging or vending they may be prevented by law from doing so.The entire world depends on children. Allowing one segment of our future generation to do such things will spoil the future of our country. since you have given us this kind of access it encourages us to express our views. Ramamoorthy street is located in Ramapuram/Ambattur, very next Ambedkar statue and Bharat matriculation school. Daily 450 two wheelers and 100 four wheelers are crossing per hour. There are only 50 houses in the street and the genuine residents could not move safely on the street. More over the drainage canal reinforcement work is being under taken by the contractor, causing the width of the street reduced from 25feet to 10 feet resulting more problem for the residents to move out. The best immediate action to be taken by the authorities is to specify the street as one way traffic for twwo wheelers and the commercial four wheelers to be restricted by the timings( between 10pm to 6am). Having faith on the fair play of the top management,we are awaiting the suitable early action.

Dear Sir, I am gradually attracted by your steps taken and your interest shown on developing our state. I do admit its not possible to expect all the things could reach you easily. So its my part to disseminate the problem i faced when i travelled by bus from Tanjor to Tiruvarur. The actual ticket cost fixed by the government is Rs.19. But when i travelled by government bus the conductor demand us to pay Rs.22. When we ask for explanation they havent turn their attention toward us. we couldnot find any special service in it. when i follow the conductor regarding the hike in cost his simple reply is to get down from the Bus. So, i kindly request you to consider the basic problem of our people who suffers on these confusional service. Even the private service which provides sophisticated arrangement inside the bus could reach the destination before the time taken by the bus who were charging more than the fixed cost. I strongly believe i have brought the daily problems of our people to the right forum where it could be rectified on immediate action.

Respected Sir, Very recently i have visited couple of temples near pondy and cuddalore inlcuding chidhambaram Natarajar temple ... almost i lost my heart when walked in & out of the CHIDAMBARAM NATARAJAN temple the way people are using the temple premises for their commercials including priests Issues are:- One of the outer "PRAHARAM" is being used for all commercials where you could see street vendors preparing BAJJI & BONDA, SELLING CHEPPALS, TOYS, HOUSEHOLD ITEMS, ICE CREAM, GIFTS ARTICLES, ETC.., i don't understand need of all these articles being sold inside the praharam which I feel nothing is connected with the devotees who is visiting temple only for worship. They are spoiling all the sculptures and art which is developed by our ancestor for the generations. I believe these people don't have right to spoil all art and sculptures and if this trend continue inside the temple then there is a possible that in future nothing would be there for our future generations. 2. In side the KARAPAGRAHAM there are more than 15 priests are serving deepam to devotees right from younger one to elder... in such a small Sanctum sanctorum I don't understand the need of 20 priests they are really a barrier for the devotees who is coming from various place to pay their visit to LORD SHIVA. If you ask me no of priests should be restricted with 2 or 3 like what we see in sabarimala and other kerala temples... 3. Just opposite to MAIN KARPAGRAHAM the priests are selling flowers and malas, right from the entry to main Sanctum sanctorum the entire temple is being encroached by all street vendors to priests for their personal benefits leaving the art and great work in the dust bin 4. In my experience this is the only temple where inside the temple PRAHARAM is being encroached & used by vendors and really they use the place like footpath… as a devotee and lover of art I cried and pained lot when am out of the temple, PLS DO SOMETHING TO ARREST ALL THESE ACITIVITES Inside THIS TEMPLE, I request you to kindly ensure that ACROSS TAMIL NADU all temple premises are saved from these elements for their personal benefits, also government should pass the ordinance to ban all commercial activities inside the temple premises. Yours Sincerely, Ramasubramanian B Nolambur Chennai.

Dear Sir, I am a Ph.D. Scholar from IIT Bombay. My Native place is PUDUKKOTTAI (Dt), Tamilnadu. I would like to place few of my suggestions for your esteemed consideration and action. Firstly, Tamilnadu State Bus Transport online ticket booking should be introduced sir. All other states have already implemented this system and are functioning well. Our Govt. can charge Rs.10/- as nominal service charges for the same and raise funds for the government to a small extent. Secondly, TNEB online payment for whole Tamilnadu (presently only for chennai it is available) and thirdly, Government Computer Centers for online applications both in rural and semi-urban areas, through which, people can book tickets, pay TNEB bills, LIC payments etc., through internet, operated by a government representative. This will increase the employment opportunities as well as increase the income for our state government. I request you to kindly consider my suggestions sir. Thank you.

Dear Sir, I have always wondered why there are no summits held in Tamilnadu to attract investments. Chennai due to its some of the indisputable strengths and the state governments initiatives have attracted many investments. But to promote Tier II cities and other areas of Tamilnadu and also to add to the existing investment made in Chennai there needs to be an Investors summit by which the strengths of each district in Tamilnadu can be exploited. It also provides a base for foreign investors to foray into many business opportunities available(They may also use the Country specific SEZ). An Small and Medium Enterprises forum must be created to promote entrepreneurship in TN. Thank you.

My nature is always to appriciate good deeds done by anyone and would like to place my sincere appriciation and thank the local Maduravoyal administration for placing the Sintex water tanks in good numbers in our TNHB sector 2. This really satisfy our drinking water need but at the same time would like to bring to the Depty. CM's notice that the tanks that are recently placed where not kept on good platforms and would surely break the bottom of these costly Sintex tanks very soon and render the occupants without water and also waste the hard found tax collected from the people. The fact is that these tanks were kept on concrete rings used as well skirts and are smaller than the tank diameter. these Rings should be bigger than teh tank size and filled with sand and the tank should fully rest on the filled sand so that the weight of water won't break the tank. I am sure this can be corrected if there is some pressure from the higher up. Looking forward to your kind action. God bless you and Long live Tamil and Tamil Nadu.

Dear Sir. The traffic congestion near MOOLAKADAI junction is increasing day by day. The share autos have increased heavily and there is no discipline at all. No policemen to guard during peak hours resulting in heavy traffic jams. As a universal measure, why don't you think of initiating a AUTO stop, something like a bus stop at prominent locations. (this can even be closer/adjacent to bus stops). The share auto menace is increasing every day, no discipline and none to control. Hope this will be addressed. Regards.

Hello sir, I am working in a software concern which is located on mount road, i travel through Poonamalle High Road daily to reach my home, I use to see at least daily one Ambulance suffering to travel through the traffic, i have a small suggestion regarding this, Why dont we have a separate Emergency Track? which can be used by vehicles normally, when other travelers hear the Ambulance Alert we make a condition to move to the regular track from the emergency track, who disobeys the rule will be ordered to pay penalty like that. I dont know whether this will work with our traffic measures and rules, this is a small suggestion from me where we can able to save the lifes in trouble. Thank You Sir,

Dear Sir, I am very happy to see a website for our DCM. Its a novel initiative and would like to appreciate and thank you for this step.Coming to the point, I wish to bring to your notice the present state of the OMR (the so called IT highway). The works have been completed till SRP tools and the area beyond that is in a very shabby state. The drains and service lanes are not completely constructed. Vehicles are parked on the roadsides blocking nearly half of the carriageway. Vehicles are seen traveling in the wrong direction and this poses a great risk to people using that road. All this problem would be solved if the works are completed quickly. Moreover people visit the IT companies from abroad and also from all parts of India and this leaves a very bad impression about our city on their minds. I have even mailed the director for the IT highway project, but havent got any reply. Please please take notice of this and do the needful. Thanks.

Dear Sir, GREETINGS FROM US, WE WISH TO SEE YOU SOON SIR........... REG: Invented a New product called "AUTOMATED ADDITIONAL FOOT STEP ADAPTABLE SYSTEM FOR TAMIL NADU GOVT.BUSES". - Requesting govt. bus to make trail run..... Actually we are 3 mechanical engineers, who were working in MNC's Started a New company called FIVE STAR ENGINEERING SOLUTIONS @ Kanchipuram and providing AUTOMOBILE DESIGN SOLUTION to the Automotive Industries like Ashok Leyland, Hyundai etc.. As a part of this, we started thinking of Public safety systems and their Comfort. We put more effort to find things which are causing discomfort to the public. As a result, we found the major issue where the people are getting more inconvenience. The problem we found is, People are struggling a lot to get in & exit from the buses which has high foot board ground clearance. We have taken this problem and started analyzing to solve the Problem. As a result we have invented a new idea (Automated Additional Foot Step Adaptable System). Our Team made a Prototype of the same and the prototype is working successfully. Sir, We are resising in Kolappakkam area and belongs to Porur EB office. The persons coming for meter reading are not efficient or don't want to be efficient. 168/1, Vengateswara Nagar, Kolappakkam is having two service numbers 303.001.429 and 303.001.421. Last reading(Nov/2009) for 303.001.429 is 930 and the last reading(Nov/2009) for 303.001.421 is 835. In this month(01/2010) last reading for 303.001.429 is 1190 and last reading for 303.001.429 is 850. But the reading clerk wrongly calculated 303.001.429 as 1190. And also mentioned in 303.001.429 as please verify. These are all the things happening quite often. Please take proper action and make the EB to arrange some efficinet persons for taking meter reading.

Dr. Stalin, Congratulations on your effort to bring new industries, to TN. At the same time please focus on building Research and Development in various areas which are the backbone of the industries and also to compete with the developed countries. Here is my suggestion. 1) Identify 10 foundational research area 2) Build World’s best facilities for each of them separately 3) Appoint a head in these areas to attract industries for R&D investments, research and update latest equipments 4) Focusing on current and future research and publish research findings 5) Collaborate with local educational institutions and international research labs 6) Identify large and growing industries in that area and link with these R&D Labs and researchers 7) Conduct yearly conference on these areas, by calling international and world renowned researchers and research labs 8) Have them to publish yearly reports with progress, achievements and contribution to society. Though there are Central research institutes, having state owned research centers will have autonomy and can build center of excellence in those areas. The key to success is to provide best facility, best equipments and allocate yearly budget and appoint best administrator to lead. Finally collaboration with industries and educational institution is a key to lead and succeed. If this is successful, in the next 5 to 10 years TN will have 10 independent Government sponsored research labs to lead the research community and help industries. This can also generate income by charging fees for services and other customized research. Kaali Dass Cary, NC, USA
