Dear Sir, This is to congrats you for the better planning for the CMA & chennai city. Very happy to hear good news from the TN government that chennai limit would increase its area to 426 sqkm from 176 sqkm and formation of two new corporation around chennai. This is a good plan because other metro cities in india have already expanded their boundary of city and as well as metropolitan area. But only in chennai there is no plan to expand the boundary of CMA till now. CMA of chennai covers over 1189 sqkm. Nowadays the investment, integral township and other development are coming up in between 30 to 50 km radius from the city centre (parrys). Such developments indicating how fast the city is booming up. But our present CMA limit will be upto 30km radius. So take this as a suggestion to improve the quality of the city, to grow city fast and development plan of the city. This may be your second master plan but a small suggestion is to implement it soon. Areas which i mean is 1.Till Sriperumbatur & Oragadam where the proposed Green field airport yet to come. (towards WEST) 2. Till Chengalpattu between MM nager, Guduvanchery etc are good hi tech companies are present and good locality for resident. (towards south) 3. Till Tiruvallur good area and a temple town to resident and also there are some industrial area around. Good transpotation facility is there through sub urban train. ( towards north west) 4. Till Goomidipoondi is also a good industrial area and good transpotation facility is there through sub urban train. Already till these areas MTC facility is available from 2006 and STD code 044 is changed from 2005. In some of the points these areas is already qualify for the CMA limit. So take this as a suggestion. Thanx in advance. Regards with cheers, Hari Shankar

Dear Sir, We are actually from Tamilnadu and now residing in Singapore. We happened to visit Thailand (phuket)early this year. Being there I always felt home as Thailand is similar to tamilnadu and I felt some resemblance of our Tamil culture (who knows it might be b’cos of our kings who ruled there). Even Thailand is supposed to be still developing country their tourism developments are great and people and govt. are polite and they are the best in hospitality (we always say Tamil culture is, but it was). Within what they have (we also have the same and even more) they are attracting tourist from all over the world. A real example is the “The Fantasea” cultural theme park. We are really excelerated seeing the show in that park. We saw so many people from all over the world qued up for this show and it was really great show (we can also perform better than that with our resources) But always something was irking inside everyone in our family don’t we (Tamil) also have the valued culture (may be better) especially, our rulers, our temples (those are the greatest and still existing), art, architecture and talents we need to show them to the world. We could do by developing the tourist attraction like the cultural theme parks at every other region of TN. We could put together our art forms (we have the world best artist in music, singing, art director, director…..) Tamilnadu has everything what a good country need to have. That is nature, agriculture, culture, heritage and people with values. pls show them to the world via tourism. Create a show for tourism and it would added development of tamilnadu tourism and we are unique and our uniqueness would spread all over.

My Volunteer Id MKS5645.I belong to the southern district of Tamilnadu, the go green project of not issuing polythene carry bags and plastic cups in the shops are really welcomed, but as people are practiced to it the shop keepers are not distibuting for only time being. If any inspection from the department arrives it is informed to the local sangam head persons so the alert is given for a wile, then asusual the distribution of polythene bages from the shops is rising. Here let me give a suggession that in each shops there must be a adviretaisment banners of go green must be hanged and recycling of plastic and polythene bags bins must be kept, let the government take responsiblity for the next process.

Give a solution to a person who belongs to MBC, SC,ST who wishes not to include his caste in his son/daughters community certificate when he wants BC status through conversion to other Religion/Economic status. The authorities are purposefully mentioning his caste and giving the BC status certificate even though a person (SC,ST,MBC) is not interested in mentioning his caste name. Sir, Really impressed with your unbiased working to the whole of the society. Even our opposition leader cannot comment about your work and i find even the opposition party leaders have a respect on you. I am a Railway employee residing in a rented house house at chengalpattu. On arrival of the Mahindra City at Paranur the house rent has increased 3 to 4 times at chengalpattu.Even though a govt. staff unable to meet with the rent which is ever incresing year after year. The main reason being the IT and ITES employees who work at Mahindra city are ready to pay any amount as rent bringing our life into misery.Since they come from various parts of India they too are in dire need of an accommodation. So as and when any agreement for bringing in a new city meant for IT,MNC or for any other industrial sector the Government should insist the industries and the IT companies to provide housing facilities, quarters etc. as a compulsory pre-requisite at their premises itself so that the employees dont flood in the already congested suburban areas which are developing and create an artificial demand in the residential areas. So Sir, please take into consideration my suggestion, so that being an average middle class society people where we don't get most of the Govt. welfare schemes in the name of being a Govt. staff will be happy If at least our livelihood in the rented houses is not endangered by the encroachment of the MNC's and the IT companies. Hope Sir you would consider my kind suggestion in near future Where you are going in for fresh MOU with new companies to come. Thanking You Sir, suresh babu.k

Dear Sir, Wish you a happy & very healthy life. The road stretch from Padi junction (near Lucas TVS) till Ambattur is in very bad shape. The distance is only 8 Kms. But during peak hours, it takes minimum 1 hour to cross. The concerned authorities are not taking any action to widen the road, even after severe protests and complaints. This is an important road which connects working class people living in Ayanavaram, Perambur, Kolathur, Villivakkam, Korattur for proceeding to factory / industries located in Ambattur industrial Estate, Avadi etc. Sir, please instruct the concerned authorities to improve the condition of existing road and also widen the same.

1) Eco friendly autos only must run in areas where pollution is high. 2) Metered autos only should in the city. 3) Tata Maxi should not be allowed to carry passengers who are waiting in the bus stops. They are not honouring high courtorders. They are blocking the space meant for bus stops. No uniforms are also prescribed so far. 4) Increase buses for students and ladies. 5) the city is becoming ugly day by day due to a) non removal of garbages frequently b) spitting should be banned c) smoking should be prohibited d) plastics of any kind should be totally banned. e) provide hygenic public toilets at every corner of signal points in the city where public movement is high

Thanks for giving opportunity to give suggestions thru your website. My suggestion is around protecting river banks in Tamil Nadu. This has been a problem for quite sometime. People dig more sands from the river basins then the allowed limit. It will definitely cause short term and long term environmental issues to our beloved state. So, how do we protect our environment? Stop people from constructing home and buildings? No, we don't want to slow down our own economy. Government should provide other options. I would like to cite an example with similar situation in another city. In Chicago, most of the buildings (home and commercial) are constructed using wood. But ,the city or the state don't have enough wood to support their construction industry. (Actually they do have enough wood, but due to environmental regulations they can't cut what they need) So, the Government facilitates things to import woods from Canada. This way the Government preserves their forest without affecting the construction industry. Why don't we do something similar? From my opinion the Government should either provide alternative construction material for natural sand or they should import sand from other states such us Rajestan. This may be sound silly now. I may not know the entire implications of importing sand from other states or provide alternative for sand. But, I do strongly feel the Government should provide other alternative before imposing regulations on sand minning. Fifteen year back has anyone thought people buy water for money. What people need is a good direction from administration.

Dear Sir I would like to just high light a few points regarding vehicular pollution in Chennai . Sir one of the main contributors of air and noise pollution in Chennai are the autorickshaws in Chennai. These vehicles remove their silencers and run on main roads like main roads as well as interior residential areas which is illegal as per transport rules and cause huge air pollution as well as noise pollution which is untolerable for fellow motorists. Driving in Chennai has become treacherous because of these highly polluting autorickshaws. All these autos run by petrol and huge air pollution doubles the poisonous gases effect on the innocent people who are driving on the road as well as in residential areas .Sir as u have said in the paper itself air pollution is main cause of respiratory diseases and cancer also these petrol driven two stroke autos are the main contributors of air and noise pollution in Chennai. The pollution from petrol driven vehicles has far more noxious fumes than pollution from diesel driven vehicles which severely affects the innocent people. The other thing is Most auto drivers modify the silencers as a result of which it becomes very loud. The noise is deafening, when they drive at high speeds. Apart from this, most autos also emit noxious fumes which are harmful to the environment. Sir It would be very helpful for the innocent public if action is taken against the autos which remove their silencers and ply and cause huge noise pollution which is dreadful for senior citizens and well as innocent school going children whose hearing is getting damaged and spoils their studies. These autos are very rampant in all the places with the city limits likes numgambakkam, tnagar etc. These autos park illegaly in all places like bus stands and obstructs the people who are boarding the buses ,leading to huge traffic congestion, and when the common public question them they are being abused badly. Sir since BS IV norms have been brought to the four wheelers the pollution from these vehicles have vastly reduced .the same way there should be some pollution norms for autos also sir.these vehicles in discriminately pollute the environment in Chennai and severely affect the other innocent people. Please ban these autos in Chennai sir. Sir I would like to just highlight as per a article in some newspaper these highly polluting and noisy can be replaced by some electric vehicles or some other vehicle like tata ace which looks more or less like auto but a four wheeler which would drastically reduce the air pollution . According to a recent a goverenment study POLLUTION is growing at an alarming pace and Chennai has the second largest decibel level (84) while the desirable is supposed to be something much lower (55).the main reason is the tampered silencers of autos which make a thunderous noise.which is very harmful to small infants, children and elderly people leading to high BP because of the continuous exposure to huge noise from autos. These tampered silencer autos are making a thuderous noice in residential areas also. These autos park illegaly in all places leading to huge traffic congestion, and when the common public question them they are being abused badly

Dear Stalin, I am from a village near Mayiladuthurai (Nagai-dt). For long years the mayiladuthurai Bus stand project is pending and people are so suffering due to the congestion in the city and bus stands. This project is under discussion for a long time (nearly 15-20 years) and 6 months back govt. officials made an soil test.. but no result on that...please ask Govt. officials to fasten the project... Making the Mayilauthurai as district is also pending... DMK has anounced that all the parlimentary constituencies will be made as district.. but still no action is taken for making mayiladuthurai as district.. We have to cross Karaikal (Other state) to reach our headquarters (Nagai)... so please do the needful for the above mentioned two projects... Atleast initiate these two projects and discuss it in Assembly before this election.. so that DMK can get the support of all the peoples of my localities.... Awaiting for your reply....
