Sir: On behalf of Nilgirs small tea growers I express my sincere thanks as you initiated separate authority board for development of Nilgiris that will be explored shortly. Recent torrential rain ravaged the Nilgiris and consequences met by the people are untold. We are expecting some concession especially for small tea growers, “free power supply to our co-operative tea factories (14 factories) as they are run by the small tea growers with help of government share of 50 %. The government share of 50% will go to meet the salaries of the staff. The remaining 50% borne by small growers are not sufficient to run the factory profitably. The small growers are not benefited for past one decade despite our repeated request. If free power supply is extended par with the other small farmer under your stewardship, this will benefit the small tea growers to a larger extent. Small tea growers are treated par with the other small farmers in all respect except for the free power supply hence it is requested on behalf of Nilgiris small tea growers. Recently during your visit to Ooty on 29/12/2009 a delegation gave a representation to you in this connection. Wish you Happy New Year.

Dear Sir, i take this oppurtunity to convey my hearty NEW YEAR and PONGAL greetings to you. i am a resident of mudaloor village a hamlet of ramasamudram village panchayat, which comes under 'VANDAVASI' assembly constituency where the recent bi-election was held on 19 dec 2009. our village is about 10km away from vandavasi town.in our village about 50 Jain minority families are living. for availing the bus service to vandavasi we will have to go either by walk or by two wheelers about 1.2km from our village.it is very difficult for school/college going students, office goers and old age people for aviling medical facilities etc.it is even worse on rainy days to avail the bus service.to overcome this diffficulties, we very eagerly expected your election campaign visit to submit our demands in person.but we were not given priority for the election schedule. we think that being the minority by religion and the very meagre number of voters in our village made you not to visit our village.even then all our voters in our village cast their votes to Mr.Kamalakannan,DMK candidate only.hence i submit this memorundum to your kind consideration and immediate action.a town bus service may be operated from vandavasi to neliyangulam and nallur simultaneously via athipakkam,mudaloor and srirangarajapuram.a single bus can be operated from vandavasi to neliyangulam and nallur a trip after trip to enable all sections of people to meet their daily routine activities and getting necessary services like medical etc.this is our long pending (more than 10 years) request.our previous efforts and representations made to the district minister,district DMK cashier and the deceased MLA of our constituency resulted in VAIN.i hope that you will consider our long pending request and we will be very thankful to you if you could arrange the above mentioned bus services.we expect that this bus service will be YOUR NEW YEAR/PONGAL GIFT for us to celeberate the same with the festivals to come. I request you to take necessary action. 3)Tarffic regulation in ashok pillar 100ft rd is very poor,before this it was oneway traffic that was good but now they have changed, its now heavy traffic jam there before it was good i request to change as previous oneway traffic method. Dear Sir, On behalf of the residents at Valasarawakkam, I would like to appreciate your efforts and request you to continue the same and set Tamilnadu as a benchmark for other states in India. The genera public in our locality are facing a continuous difficulty of accessing the road facility at Arcot Road. The roads laid here are not proper and are too narrow. People affected primarily are the pedestrians as there are no platforms. The situation is more worse during the rainy season and people are forced to walk on the median. Since the road is narrow, the frequency of accidents occurring here is high and bus stops around Valasarawakkam serve as a major cause for traffic jams. Vehicles are also forced to drive on the wrong side of the road when a death procession takes place leading to traffic jams. I'm sure that you can make difference to our locality. To The Hon'ble Dy Chief Minister Respectful Sir, At the outset, wishing u and yr family and the entire cadres of your party - a VERY HAPPY, PROSPEROUS.HEALTHY, JOYFUL NEW YEAR 2010. I have two requests, which I hope you will be able to resolve at the earliest. 1. At the junction of 100 feet road - vadapalani police station, the govt buses as well the private buses and other vehicles coming from the Koyambedu junction towards Ashok Nagar/KK Nagar are not at all stopping even after the orange/red signals are there. Nearly 5 to 8 buses and other vehicles, even after the red lights were on, without stopping at the signal goes on and this results in pedestrians not able to cross the roads either from Vadapalani temple side as well from the Kamala theatre side. Even though, there are traffic constables are there, they are not able to stop the govt vehicles nor able to register any cases against them. Further, the bus stop is also very near the signal, resulting in heavy traffic and buses stopping one by one. Especially in the night, it is very severe. 2. The road leading to 100 Feet road near the Laksman Sruthi side is in a very very bad shape (with lot of potholes and ups and downs) and as all the vehicles from Arcot Road side and Ashoknagar police station side uses this important road,(being one way) and to my knowledge this road was not at all relaid for many years. If this road is properly relaid, it will be of great help and especially to the two wheelers and other vehicle users. Hope my above two suggestions are looked into in a positive way and shall be thankful if some positive action is taken immediately. Thanks, S Balasubramanian
