In Erode district, Erode Town, there is a 80 ft scheme road joining Brough road and railway station. A part of this scheme road has been formed and used by the public. A portion of land for this scheme road at the starting point of Brough road is government poromboke land under encroachment of CSI. If this road is completed, the traffic at P.S. Park road junction will considerably decreased. There is not necessary of flyover at PS Park. The proposed fly over at PS Park will not serve any purpose and will give more inconvenience to the public. There are also more than 15 acres of government poromboke lands at P.S.Park under encroachment of CSI. This encroahment should be evicted and this lands should be used for public purpose. There are so many representation to District Collector for this. There are so many agitations for this. Today also total bandh at Erode. All shops are closed. So kindly take the matter serously and do the needful. Thanking you.

Respected Dpty CM, My name is C.Ilamparithi. I would like to share my suggestion to minimize the Corruption (bribe) in the State Govt offices which are all directly access by general public (all the collectrates, all the circle police stations, all the local administration offices, all the RTO, all the RDO,etc.,) Corruption can be minimized - cum - eradicated by displaying the phone numbers (along with the anti-corruption slogans) of Anti Corruption Division/Anti Corruption Vigilance team (lanch aozhippu puirivu) in a board like the officials name and designation board or simmilar to that which is easily noticable by the people or placed atop of the officials seat. So that the people can make a call immediately upon any corruption issues then and there itself. The defenite outcome of thios step will steer the officials towards the honest path whenever they deviate to the mind set up of 'demanding money' from (poor) people. Thanking You C.Ilamparithi

dear dalapathy ayya, vanakkam, good morning There are lot of hue and cry is there along with various innumerable complaints, for roads repair and management in all most all places. i have a suggestion to your perusal. now that, the tenders are for lowest quote. if the tender is made lowest quote cum performance for minimum 3 to 4 years, and a performance guarantee, be made to give, as a bank guarantee etc, many really, big wigs, will start coming in the roads factor , who will be able to monitor the same in a better way due to high calibre and high tech . The digging etc will be gettting reduced. since, there will be co ordinated action plan will be there with all the road users in a better acceptable manner. This will make the govt managers, to concentrate on a really needed things, rather than , mundane , work and complaints there in. The scare and availble resources can be better utilised in the days ahead and e goverance will be achieved to a good level . with kind regards and best wishes. s.narayanaswamy. consultant, nanganallur

IN THE YESTER YEARS, ONYIX , was doing a good job of garbage clearning in chennai, the present , contractor, unknowingly, quoted a low rate in the tender, and is loosing the business , that is why the apathy of garbage clearance problems. I have a suggestion. In future , all the areas, can be bifurcated or tri furated, as nearly as possible, and each and every one area, be given to separate agency. so that , they will be able to do a good job. one agency , if found not okay, that , area, again, called for RE TENDER and the work can be given to them. Also give them the necessary approval, to UTILISE THE WASTE , for further processing, electricity, bio gas generation etc, which will supplement their income level and many big and scrupulous agencies, will take part in the e tenders as well. this will be a real winning to all. kindly look into the same. with best wishes, s.narayanaswamy, consultant, nanganallur

dear dalapathy ayya, vanakkam, good morning. You would be aware that Many low income and middle income family members are living in the suburbs and continue to work in the city . They mainly depend on the buses. Pl note that, from the ASRHANA BUS STOP that is near to the kathipara bridge, 99.99 % buses are stoping only , at next stop that is the TRISOOLAM , which called meenambakkam stop. The difference from the one bus stop to this stop is very much significant. If you could please arrange to stop, near the RADDISION HOTEL - TRIDENT HOTEL AREA, many people, commuting to pazhavanthangal , BV NAGAR, and nanganallur etc, will be benefited, and many of us, need not, stand, in the hot sun, for more than 40 to 70 minutes for a bus to reach to this area. Autos are demanding a minimum of Rs 70 , where the bus fare is only rs 4/- which is very difficult for many. Pl make, all BUSES, TO STOP , this bus stop , available to us , at the earliest, so that we will be very glad and your action will be appreciated by one and all. with kind regards, and best wishes, s.narayanaswamy. consultant, nanganalur

Hello sir, I want to discuss some suggestions which arised in my mind. I hope you are the only right and able person to consider this and solve it. 1. Regarding traffic in chennai - Sir, in chennai if we follow the traffic rules strictly means we can avoid the traffic problem. No one is obeying traffic signals. People are neglecting the signals casually. Though red light is there people are not stopping as well as the signal count is 10 means they are using to start moving before the green signal comes. Please implement some strict rules for traffic. As well as don't allow to park vehicles or bus stop near signals. 2. Regarding Bridges - Sir our honourable Chief minister and yourself created a record by constructing several bridges and constructing secretariat in a short span, but some bridges and other work takes very long time, please consider this issues and take some appropriate action in order to score more good names from public. 3. Regarding motels - Sir, previously some buses which runs below 200 - 250 kilometers won't stop in the motels, now all the buses are stopping in the motels this wastes our emergency time by nearly 30 minutes. As well as all the buses are running very slow though they are express. This also wastes our time by nearly one hour. These are things, issues which i experienced along with the public peoples. I hope all the issues will be sorted out soon. In future if i found any problems again i will post some suggestions. Thsnks, Sathish.

Sir, Thanks for accepting my previous suggestions and publishing in this website. I wish to give some comments on Artificial Recharge schemes now undertaken by all departments. In reality not even 25% of the money spent on these schemes will give returns in terms of ground water recharge. In some places NGO's are also in this work funded by NABAARD and they are digging small pond in the name of watershed improvement. Actually these ponds are later used for fresh water fish culture. Also since all the departments are in the field to spend the amount under this scheme, the effectiveness of the works carried out is not evaluted properly and most of these structures will wash off in the coming floods. Subsurface dykes along all the river course at a regular interval of 5 Km will improve the ground water effectively than constructing small checkdams in the path of small gullies and drainage odais as they will be either silted up or toppled down in flash floods. So kindly evaluate the work of one department with a setup of straight forward officers from other department to minimise government money and resources spent for no use . Thanks Sir, Abdulkalamdasan

Super 30’s Anand suggests reforms to PM The brain behind Patna-based coaching institute Super 30, Anand Kumar, met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in Delhi on Wednesday and suggested various ways to reform the education system. The Prime Minister had invited Kumar, who has received worldwide acclaim and recognition for his institute’s electrifying performance. He suggested the Prime Minister focus on the secondary education system first. “If secondary education is weak, students suffer the most. Keeping in view different sets of students, the Ministry of Human Resources Development should lay emphasis on two different syllabi – one, for ordinary students and the other, for gifted students,” said Kumar.this should solve the issues of samacheer kalvi becomimg more acceptance to all sections “The syllabus for bright students should provide non-routine challenging problems, so they can develop deep insight into the subjects at an early stage,” he added. The mathematical wizard put in his second suggestion for a free coaching programme on the lines of Super 30 for talented rural students. “This should not be confined to IIT coaching only and can be applied to various streams. At these Government-run training or coaching programmes, students should be provided the best teaching facilities, with free food and lodging, to shape talent,” Kumar told Singh. Started in 2003, Super-30 has sent 182 students out of a total 210 to IIT. Almost all of them are from poor, underprivileged sections of the society. From this year, Kumar has decided to increase the strength of students from 30 to 60 and give more opportunity to those from other States.

Dear Sir, I would like to high light a few points regarding traffic congestion in chennai. [1]The Main reason for the traffic congestion in chennai are autorickshaws which are plying illegaly without valid permits and without valid licences. [2]These autos park illegaly in all places leading to huge traffic congestion, and when the common public question them they are being abused badly. [3]These vehicles cause huge air pollution mostly because they ply in two stroke engines and cause huge noice pollution by tampering with their silencers [these autos doesnt care about the inconvenience they cause to other drivers on the road because of these huge noice pollution]. Most auto drivers modify the silencers as a result of which it becomes very loud. The noise is deafening, when they drive at high speeds. Apart from this, most autos also emit noxious fumes which are harmful to the environment. Pollution control checks by the authorities concerned are essential for stopping the ever increasing air and noise pollution by the autos.

Dear deputy CM, Congratulations and Greetings for your development measures. Through out our state now the 4 track roads are in a completion phase. But due to lack of knowledge, Assaults many vehicle drivers and aside villagers(two wheelers) are travelling in opposite side in same track. This lead to no of accidents and loss of life daily. (Yesterday also around 14 members of a marriage party died near Nagercoil). The remidy , essential and need of this hour is to educate people about risk of travelling in opposite direction in 4TRACK roads and to adopt strict patrol in roads to punish law breakers. If we miss this time then we will be responsible for the future deaths in roads. Sir also a pathetic situation in our roads(with in city) is lack of traffic polices, even though number of women constables are there, afonders rarely obey them. Please empower them to fine at spot and employ more men constables(Traffic police are very less empowered) Please do the needful. Awaiting for the fruitful actions in these regard. Thank you

Sir, I am glad to se your web site and grievances reported online to you. This is a major improvement in administration. However the results of the grievances attended may also be published there itself so that it will become an answer to similar grievances. I wish to add some important points regarding ground water in Tamilnadu so that you please kindly take some actions on that lines which will surely benefit our government and ground water potential. In Tamilnadu all are drawing a large quantity of ground water for all uses. Of this ground water drawn and used for irrigation purpose will again go in to the aquifer and will not be a major problem. Whereas the ground water drawn and used for major industries are only used as raw material for their production and the let out water creates pollution. Though they are using precious ground water for their production they are not paying for it. The chief Engineer, Ground water in his below mentioned letter has sent a proposal for pricing of ground water. [ Lr. No.G8 / 29 S / Legislation / 2010 Dated 28 .01.2010 SUB: Pricing of Ground Water on Par with surface water to Firms / Industries / Organisations which apply for drawal of the same for their usage – Necessity of the hour – Proposals sent to Govt – Reg. ] Though this pricing is low , if implemented gradually, will add a substantial inflow to the coffers. Also unnecessary drawal by industries will be reduced and they will search for better alternatives than to draw from ground water such as surface storage within their premises etc., Surely this proposal if implemented atleast for major industries will show better results in State’s income and improvements in Ground water scenario. Thanks to You,Sir, Abdul Kalam Dasan

Respected Sir, On behalf of the aspirants of Group-I services, I wish to bring the following facts to your kind attention: At present, in Group-I exam, TNPSC adopts the 1:10 ratio (10 times the number of vacancies) for selecting candidates to the Main written examination from those who have appeared for the Preliminary exam. As there only 61 vacancies this year, just about 610 students will get the chance to write the main examination. From media reports, I gather that about 93,000 candidates have taken the preliminary examination held on May 2, 2010. So, only 0.6% of the candidates will be shortlisted for the next level. • Total Number of Candidates: 93,000 • Vacancies: 61 • Ratio of candidates taking prelims: 1:1524 • No of Candidates to be Admitted for Main Exam: 610 as per 1:10 ratio • Selection Percentage: 0.6% • Selection Chance for Open Competition (Men): 0.1% • Rejection Percentage at Prelims – 99.4 % From the foregoing, it is clear that only a handful get the chance to proceed to the next level of selection. Though the very purpose of the preliminary examination is to weed out non-serious candidates, the 1:10 selection ratio deprives hundreds of serious candidates too from taking the Main written exam, the real exam for selection. The preliminary examination weeds out 99.4 % of the aspirants. Cogency of thought and expression, analytical thinking are all tested only at the Main exam stage. But, due to the adoption of the 1:10 rule, a large number of candidates who possess good writing skills and aptitude for administration do not get a chance to appear at the main exam at all. The important aspect of this process is that a lot of ‘environmental’ factors contribute for the success or failure of the students. Ambiguous questions, wrong options etc also play a significant role, though TNPSC takes sincere action to make corrections after getting the feedback of the students. With number of vacancies remaining low, competition becoming very stiff and interplay of environmental factors severe, the rejection percentage at the preliminary examination should not be so high. Especially, when Main Examination is the real test of selection, rejecting 99.4% of the candidates at the gate itself does not sound fair. An analysis of the selection process of the current year’s UPSC exam: • Total No of candidates appeared for Prelims: 1,93,091 • No of candidates admitted to Mains: 12,026 • Selection Percentage: 6.2% • Rejection percentage at Prelims – 93.8% Scenario Elsewhere As you may be aware, the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission adopts 1:50 ratio successfully for the past several years. This gives ample opportunity for the youths to compete well. Bihar PSC allows all those who obtain 40% and above at the Prelims to take the main exam. Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and even the UPSC adopt a higher selection ratio in the prelims. 1:50 ratio in Tamil Nadu – The Appeal At present, the ratio followed by TNPSC (1:10) is the lowest in the country. If TNPSC adopts 1:50 ratio, about 3050 students will get a chance to write the Main Examination this year. That means, 3.2 % of the aspirants will be selected for the next level. 1:50 ratio will be very much manageable as only a few thousands will take the Main exam every year. The number of vacancies has hovered around 60-100 every year, barring 2007 when the vacancies were 172 as the exam was held after a gap of 6 years. The TNPSC website states that during the 1960s, the competition for Group-I services remained at the rate of 1:6, it got increased to 1:35 in the 70s and in 1992, it rose to 1:1000. At present, for a single post, nearly 1524 candidates are competing at the Prelims – so the ratio has risen to 1:1524. The present system of 1:10 rule was formulated when the competition was not so stiff. Should the selection ratio not be increased in proportion to the competition? From 1:1524 at the prelims, a filtration of 1:10 at Main exam stage seems very drastic. 1:50 would be more appropriate and manageable. Apart from communal reservation, the reservation for women and differently-abled persons have complicated the scenario further. So, adoption of 1:50 selection ratio in the preliminary examination will ensure fairness in competition. On behalf of thousands of aspirants, I appeal to you Sir, to increase the selection ratio to 1:50 for this year’s exam and enable more students to appear at the main exam, the real test for selection. sir, you are doing awonderful job in bringing fast developments in Tamil nadu. I am have small scale industries but not getting enough manpower due to free schems and job for Rs 100 per day . If this scheme is modified that if any works in factory or farmers land then they will get wages from the factory aswell as govt offer of Rs 100. Since there is no task defined for the free employeement scheme many are getting wages with out doing constructively anything for the state. So I request you to encourgae the people to work in Agri land small scale industries so that sufficient labour will also be available and they get more wages also . Sir, please do something otherwise all SSI units will die down and people will become so lazy to do any work in future. V.Vimala
